Oh, I wish I could have videotaped me tonite. I have been laughing about it all night.

I had a 1/4 sheet cake to deliver. The only box I had was a half-sheet box. My DH and I were going to eat dinner out tonite so I decided to take the cake with us and deliver it when the lady called.

Little Miss Confident here strolled out to the truck, opened the door with one hand while balancing the box in the other. Cake shifted...that was when the juggling began. First I tried to grab with one hand and tipped the box in the other direction. Then that was back and forth about 5 times before it finally landed on its side in the seat.

All I could do was laugh. I opened the box, the cake had slid to the end of the cake board and one entire side of shells were flattened. Went back in and repositioned cake, scraped off shells and reapplied...giggling the entire time. My, my!!!!

Well done for keeping calm!
I was taking a cake to the car and had it balanced with one hand as I came out the door. The wind took the lid from the box and twirled it up in to the air. I automatically grabbed at it and the cake box moved and the cake slid to one side of the box, I then twistd my hand the other way and the cake shot to the other side of the box.
I said a few chosen words then turned around and walked back in the house with box still balanced on one hand !! And proceeded to fix damaged cake, put it to new box and tape the lid down!!! icon_redface.gif
