I was proud of this french cake pastry, one it hard to make and two I thought I did a goo job making it look like log. I did white pointsetta to give a simple elegant look and got 46 views.

I have had lots of cakes go practically unnoticed...get over it....the cake may not apeal to most....you may have spent hrs and hrs.....but if people arent interested in that specific cake they wont click on it....i dont...i have seen postings that whine about "going unnoticed" and when i click on them to ck them out..they have several favorites and viewings.....what is it you want?....life is too short...move on...to the next cake..

Saying with a smile and not to be mean - this is a thread for posting pictures that either didn't get posted or went unnoticed. If you don't want to post a picture, don't. I love looking at all the pictures and hate when I miss one, so keep posting! Please icon_biggrin.gif

I think the problem is and why this is such a good thread is, lets face it there are 1000's of cake photos on here and tons of members who are uploading every second it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to see every picture on that flicker on the home page. So MANY MANY great cake creations get unnotice due to this fact,. I dont see it as whining, it just a matter of there soooo many people on here and everyone wants to show off their cakes and they upload every minute of the day.

Ditto! I also love looking at all these pictures, and many have become my favorite because I missed then when they where posted.
I know there are so many being posted that people may not get a chance of viewing my cakes so to me this is my second chance.

There is no need to be mean. Just don't look at this thread if it bothers you.

That seems like a childish thing to say. No one has been whiney. icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh... and this one. I had a lot of fun making this one. She was so happy to have this cake. The president of the school asked to meet me after he saw it. He wanted to know why I was "wasting" my time going to nursing school.

I always have something to post in this thread when it comes up! icon_wink.gif
I did this last week for a friend's daughter, and he asked me two days before hand. I had to figure out something different from other cakes in the theme that I could put together fast, and was worried that the GP figures wouldn't dry! Also, I used the super helpful spiral cake tutorial here.
Anyway, thanks for looking!

I was really proud of this one. I took a lot of inspiration from other CC cakes, but it was the chair that my husband and I made out of popsicle sticks that really made me grin.

http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1918490

I've learned so much from this site, and I can really see the difference in my cakes. Since I'm self taught, it's great to have someone/someplace to turn to with questions. icon_smile.gif

LOL I just opened two different forum topics. One was under-noticed cakes and the other one was cakes we hate...I could post many of mine in the cakes we hate post. It seems like my cakes that get the most notice always surprise me and the ones I think might get some attention seldom do....it only goes to reinforce that sometimes we are our own worst critics. I made my favorite cake to date this weekend. It isn't as magnificent as some of the other purse cakes on here but was a great accomplishment for me personally.http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1938280

I sometimes think I post at the same time as 100 other people so my cake gets debuted on page 3 or the recent uploads. It does get frusterating when you don't get comments. I always assume my cake must not look as good to everyone else as it does to me. I have "cake goggles".

I now make sure I post a comment on all the cakes I like, when before I would have just thought "that's really good", and moved on. I know when people make comments on my cakes it makes me feel good so I usually go thru their cakes and make comments on the ones I really like.

Here is one I was proud of that got several views but no comments what do yall think?
