I really loved this cake that I did for my son...first time ever using fondant to make anything. The skydiver is one that I made looking at an old picture...someone took a picture of it for me and obviously didn't support the cake...it cracked...but he loved it. Thanks for looking.

This is my favorite cake so far ~ it was in the Star Wars cake contest, but it didn't get much action... It's the first cake I truly felt "in my element" with decorating.
My daughter saw the cake, held up DH's old action figure
and said: "Why are some people made out of cake?" icon_lol.gif

This cake I really like, I came up with the idea of doing all the sport balls with candy melt molds, and I also did the favors for the party with sports ball lollipots, it was a big hit hat the party.

I have a habit of posting my photos very late at night (when I should be sleeping), so I think they don't get noticed on the front page very often. These 2 were my favorites to work on and they turned out mostly how I wanted them to.

I have one that never even made it to the home page. I was so proud of it and then so dissappointed when it never showed up. I have had views...I am sure from searches but not what you get from the home page.
Here it is...let me know what you all think!!! TFL

Another one to hit the homepage for a fraction of a second....it was there and then it never showed back up. I am going to stop uploading them on Saturdays. That is when they seem to get bumped so fast for me. My first baby booties too. I love to get the comments you get from the home page. icon_biggrin.gif I feel you get the best feedback this way....I am always up for feedback both positive and negative...it helps me improve icon_rolleyes.gif - don't you think?

Here are my two. The second one was my first try at any kind of flower and I think I did ok. The first one was a massive job.. 2 12"x12"x4" side by side. I thought I did pretty good on them both... oh well.

This one got 5 quick favorites for the very short time it was on the homepage. I LOVE this cake! It was special because it was for my sons' senior recital celebration. He's a music performance major. I thought this one might make favorites of the day, but no luck..... icon_sad.gif

OK I'm back in. I know the subject matter of this cake was pretty obscure (it's an animé character) but I was so proud of the way my gumpaste figure turned out! http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1322181. Also I thought my ninja sword was pretty awesome icon_lol.gif Only 46 views though; there were more people than that at the party! LOL

When I first started posting cakes here they always made the rounds for at least 1/2 of the day now it is seconds.....maybe it's just me....hmmmm. icon_cry.gif LOL LOL LOL. Take a look. Not anything likw I wanted but it was my first one and I decided to play since I missed getting it done for the party. LOL

Wow I can't believe that these cakes went unnoticed. They are awesome. I thought mine didn't get noticed because, well they aren't as awesome. icon_biggrin.gif

I post this on 3/1 and no one noticed it. I mean it got a few views but, I really liked this cake except for the writing.
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1323863

Then this one I was really proud of. It came out just the way I had planned. My flowers actually came out half decent.
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1241454

And this one, I worked hard on the transfer. It was suppose to look like the one we got him for his bday.
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1252589

As I was looking through I just realized I didn't upload my daughter's last bday cake. So I am sure I will be back with another unnoticed cake. Thanks for looking. icon_redface.gif

I just did this cake for my daughter but cc wont let me post both pics they said only 1 pic per cake even though someone just posted 5 pictures of the same cake... Boy that sounded whiney-whaaaa!.
I guess I'm just really proud of it for me, sure its not professional quality but I only bake like 8 or so cakes per year for family and such so anyway here is the picture of the inside of my rainbow cake. Thanks

I finished this cake this weekend and was really happy with it. My hubby said it's my best cake yet. I had a lot of problems along the way with this one, but in the end I think it turned out well. My friend loved it. Her in-law's didn't even want to cut it.

Okay, okay, I know sports cakes aren't always everyone's favs (at least they're not for me), and I know the piping could definitely be better on this cake (had to do it in a flash while hiding it from DH so as not to ruin the surprise), but I worked so hard to get this thing to look real and was so hoping I'd get a little more love out of this one icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Although I made this a while back, I think I had just come to terms with my disappointment when I came across this thread, lol! I swear this site is better than an appt with a therapist icon_biggrin.gif Gotta love it! Anyway, here it is:

There were sooooo many pictures of beautiful cakes, cuppies, and cookies posted over the weekend thru monday because of the holiday that it was just overwhelming to try and look at all of them, plus there was all the drama going on on a couple of the forums that it kept people occupied. I bet in a few days the newer downloads will get noticed.

I was so disappointed that my cake didn't even make it to the home page! especially when I see other cakes up there for hours. They really need a better system when it comes to showcasing new uploads.

I did this cake last minute, but I was so excited about it and was pretty happy with how it turned out. Its theme was Sex and the City for a 21st birthday. It had a quote on a heart gumpaste plaque that read "and we were dressed from head to toe in love...the only label that never goes out of style"

thanks for looking!!!

I was so proud of my first wedding cake and grooms cake, but with the new system on the front page they haven't been seen much. So I'd like to share.

Here's the wedding cake:
