Interesting that they were all the same person.

So, this is what I said in a different post.

Now, vigalante me wants to know, if I decide to go through all this anguish and get the check, am I able to turn it into the cops and inform them that this is a fake check. Or doesn't it matter because they are most likely overseas and the cops can't do anything about it?

What do you guys think. Would it be worth the anguish?

Ever heard of Interpol? That is the international police department, a cooperational effort between many, many nations worldwide. Contact your nearest FBI office and ask them what to do. Maybe they will allow you to use their address to get the check, then they can use it in an investigation, or turn it over to Interpol for investigation.

Thanks for the information Theresa. Now, if they haven't read all my emails they may continue sending me emails. We will see.

i remember reading that other thread with the EXACT (to my memory) same email to someone else here. it turned into some nasty threatening thing over the course of several contacts between the too. once the cc member figured it out, the person freaked i guess and stopped. i would definatly NOT return any emails...block that persons address immediately!!! contact the interpol like the last poster said...and let it go.

some people can be pretty sick.

Alright, I am going to block their email and I will also contact the interpol. You are right, I do not want to get stressed out if I really don't have to.

I can not believe people! Thank you so much for letting us all know about this!!!! My credit card info was stolen online a few months ago, there were charges for over $5000 coming from Mexico! Considering I have never been to Mexico I would say it is safe to say that they were not mine. Thankfully my bank froze my account right away and I wasn't held responsible for any of the charges!

Some people have know ethics at all! Good luck dealing with these people- I don't think I would respond at all!!!!!!!!

That is interesting it is from the same person - can you report this person to Yahoo? One question, do both of you have a website and e-mail address that folks can inquire about cakes.........just wondering how they know you do cakes. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes I have a website and I have also sent PM's to some of the people who received this scam. I also find that peculiar.

I received this exact e-mail from this person about 2-3 days ago. I just deleted it. I do have a website. I know they did not get my e-mail address off this site because I never posted my business e-mail address anywhere.
