How Did You Get/pronounce Your Screen Name

My aunt's name is Jessica and when we were younger (she was in high school) she would add ica to the end of everyone's name...well, my family Calls me Mandy and she called me Mandica and it just stuck...well with me anyways, I thought it was hilarious!! I have had the same log on and e-mail since I was 13 years old!!!
I am now 25 and married to my hubby who is also 25. I'm 3 months older than him and we have a son who will be three next week.
Oh, the 12182 is my birthday.
lol, I'm 3 years older than you to the day, Mandica12182.
One of my younger sisters (I have 3 younger, 3 older) felt like giving us all nicknames one day, based on what she thought looked like our proper nicknames, whether or not it had absolutely anything to do with our actual names. She told me I was ZooBoo, and after a little while started calling me Zooie (because it had a better ring to it, I think - nickname for a nickname, heh). Mine was the only one she really kept up with, and it later became a joke that I answered to it better than my real name (Giselle)...which I kind of did for a while, lol. She's the only one that ever calls me Zooie, but I like it (sounds like Zoo-ee).
I found this site while searching for Disney themed cookies for my "special needs" daughter Kim. I am also the mom to Stacey, Lesley, and Melissa, all grown and mothers to my 7 grandkids. 3 of them I baby-sit 4 days a week. Married to hubby going on 35 years, who still says he glad to be home after work. I think it's because I know how to use all the power tools.
I also think that the warning sign at the top left of this site should be much larger and blinking in neon.
My screen name came about from a sermon I heard that inspired me to start expanding my "hobby". Before that day, I turned down sooooo many offers to be paid because I felt it would take the fun out of it. Now I make cakes (upon request) for a donation. All proceeds go directly to my church's youth program for scholarships and trips.
p.s. And it is still FUN!
What fun that this thread has returned!!
I love hearing stories about how people get their nicknames, etc. Keep 'em coming folks! And thanks to all who have played along so far!!
HA! What a great (seemingly retired) thread. I too find I have to explain my username as people are entirely unsure as to why I'd choose such a rediculious name. My last name is Forth. Thus Forthwife. So no, my husband hasn't been married four times.
im totally obsessed with cupcakes!!!!! i redid my kitchen to look like a cupcake!! i wear loads of cupcake clothes right down to the underwear!! even my engagement ring is a cupcake!!! (ok i can hear you people laughing at me!!) and my name is kriss/krissy so here i am krissycupcakes!!!!

I found this site just after I started decorating...and my screen name came from my e-mail that was a blend of my hubby and I and our last name.
Gosh....I wish I could change it!!
That was 2 years ago and now my little hobby has turned into a new career! I have opened a cake shop that is thriving and it's name is A Sweet Success....so I wish now it was that!!
Love all these stories....
Laura
when my nephew was little instead of auntie jannie, he called me nannie.
he's 22 now and backpacking thru europe as we speak, but the nick name lives on.
Well my family has been into the local racing scene pretty much all my life. About 10 or 12 years ago I was doing the PR for my family's team and I was was in talks w/ a race track in Indiana to start a new division with the same rules as my home track so the drivers would be able to travel between the two tracks to compete, this was also when I got my first email address and screen name which was and still is in2speed2. Now I'm in2 cakes 2, at least here I am.
I'm no longer in the racing scene but I did meet my DH at the Indiana track, he was a tech and I ended up working there as an official lol.
my screen name for everything used to be Madisonzmama, my daughter's name is Madison. When I had my son, I couldn't keep that as my user name so I changed it to JulyMama because both my kids are born in July, so now I'm JulyMama.
nothing interesting here, lol!
