I had a challenging year in 2005 and decided to do something to shake things up. So I took all the wilton classes ( something Id always wanted to do).
Started my New Year (actually my new improved life) so when I found CC. I thought of Babynewyear, every year is going to be bigger and better. icon_biggrin.gif

Mine came from my uncle. He started my first e-mail account when I was 14, and princess_tonya is what he came up with. It has been that ever since. I even have my husband calling me his princess icon_lol.gif

I am only 24, but I am already dreading the 30. I am four months older than my husband and he keeps teasing me about being old. I didn't really care about age before. But now I think I am going to change my birthday to five months later. That way my husband can be a month older than me.

OMG Narie!! That thing is heinous!! But funny!

Ok Feefs... one of my favorite nicknames is Fifi, but there is a story behind it. WHen my nephew was born I was only 10 (yes, I'm a bit younger than my siblings) and when he started talking he couldn't say 'Missy' (what my family insisted on calling me instead of Melissa) it kind of came out as Fifi. So they all started calling me Aunt Fifi. I loved it! (He was too cute, and that didn't hurt!) But when we tried to teach him the right way we'd say 'Missy!' He'd say, 'Fifi!' We'd say, 'Mmmmm' He'd say, 'Mmmm', we'd say 'Mmmmissy', he'd say, 'Mmmmm-Fifi'. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif It was the cutest ever!!! And sometimes at the age of 24 he still slips and calls me Fifi. I love it when he does because he is this tall manly guy, and it makes him blush!

Okay - my nickname isn't creative but it has a funny story behind it. My real name is Rachel Wright. My wedding anniversary is 4/14/01. So, it's a play on that.

I'm on the internet alot. I have been a chatter since I was 14. Well, about 4 years ago when I was living in Hinesville, GA and my DH was in the Army I started getting a lot of random IMs from men hitting on me. During deployments a lot of men come to Hinesville to have inappropriate relationships with the lonely military wives - and because I was an Army wife they thought I was lonely. So - I came up with this nickname as a deterrent to the creep-os. And it worked.

LOL

I'm 25 years old. I've been married for almost 6 years. I have 2 children - BJ (5) & Sean (3). I am not afraid of turning 30 or 40 - that's just a number. What scares me is how old my KIDS are getting. HOW DID I GET A CHILD WHO IS 5 YEARS OLD!?!?!?!?!?

I've been married to DH since 4/17/99, had son on 8/5/02. I'll be 30 in a month. Not too worried. Not like gray hairs are sneaking up on me because they launched a full attack when I was 20!!! I'm throwing a 30th b-day bash in Sept. for me, my hubby, my BFF, DH BFF, other friends that we still hang around from high school that are turning the big 3-0!! Of course, I'm making the cake.

I love all the stories and can't wait to read more!!

Well you would think that my screen name came from my name Patti and then the cakes for making cakes but it doesn't. Yes my name is Patty but years ago when my best friends boys were little they loved pancakes but couldn't say it so they would run around our house (we all lived together) and would yell I want patticakes I want patticakes (pancakes). Anyway that is where it came from.

My screen name is my first name and the first two letters of my last name. When I logged onto CC for the first time and found I needed to enter a name, my brain flatlined and I couldn't think of anything else. It's so boring and unimaginative. I turned 44 this past October. 40 didn't bother me, but I know that 50 will. On my 30th birthday I was sick as a dog and just wanted to crawl into a hole, never to be heard from again! I thought, "great, it's all downhill from here!" But things have improved greatly since then. Go married to a wonderful man in 1995 after having been divorced for three years, and we have an 8 yr. old together to go along with my 18 yr. old and his 23 yr. old.

I always assumed your screen name referenced the famous painter . . . you're cakes are pretty creative and artistic so that seemed to fit.

OK I can't wait to do this...

STLALOHAGAL
I'll explain this in reverse... Obviously the last three letters is Gal for gal and I'm a gal so there is that... and the middle is just because I love (I mean really love) Hawaii... I've been 9 times and can't wait to return again (and again... ), and the beginning part is STL for St. Louis where we live. Maybe one day it will be Hawaii!

Thanks all for sharing!

Guess I forgot the particulars.... icon_redface.gif sorry!

Here's the rest of my info about me:
I'm 38 and DH and I met on the Internet and have been together for 9 years and we have four (yes I'm crazy) children, Michael 6, Sara 5 (tomorrow), Bryan 2 (3 in Feb) and Emma our little fire cracker 4th of July blessing at 18 months. We were both married before but wouldn't change a thing for our lives now except DH is slow on work but that comes with being a consultant. Ugh! But I'm here as a result of finally deciding to take those cake classes I always wanted to take and I stumbled on CC and I'm hooked!!! Glad to be a part of this group you guys are all great!!!

Thanks!

Mine is pretty self explanatory in that it's my business name. How I came up with it is because of the meaning of Couture (I also do a bit of sewing) and Cake... Just was the only name I could come up with that "sang" and for market positioning in this area put me into a higher end.

My middle name is Michael...yes I'm a girl!!!! In Greece, they distinguish cousins, who are often named after the same grandparents, by adding their father's name. For example: I would be Irene (of) Michael Smith. Wher my first cousin would be Irene (of) Thomas Smith....etc.....there are actually 5 Irene's in my family of first cousins!

ANYWAY....back to the subject...My husband's business is called Adventure...hence the "ADVEN". We've had this name since we got married 10 years ago and bought our first computer. You can believe that the 68 is the year of my birth, but it's not. Our best man tacked that on to our name but the explanation is icon_evil.gif only for mature audiences. icon_biggrin.gif ...maybe I'll put it in the naughty section!

My screen name came about out of sheer frustration. On many websites I have a much different name (that of a spice to be exact...) However, on some websites that particular name is taken. One day, on one website I typed in that name. Taken. So was every other name under Heaven!! icon_sad.gif Sooo, out of sheer frustration, I typed in "Bobwonderbuns" and shouted at the computer "I'll be THAT one isn't taken!" This thread is great. My husband came up with our name the first time he signed us up for an internet account somewhere, and we use it for everything to keep it simple. I thought I was getting the award for "how do you pronounce THAT??", because noone, including me can. I liked it initially because it was simple for me to remember. Now I hate it because it's impossible to tell it to someone easily (M as in Michael, I, D as in Diane, I, A as in . . . . )

First two letters of each of our names: husband Michael, I'm Diane, kids are Alyssa, Jordan and Jerrod.

I can't believe all the babies on this site (younguns, I mean). I just turned 46. Started decorating at 13 when my aunt sent me to Wilton classes (I was so embarrassed at the time, but God bless her soul now because I still love it).
