Can't bake so I don't have anything to post. But...I do have some kitchen pics for any of you who are interested in demolition stuff. This will be going on for quite a while since we are doing it all ourselves. (Not to worry...DH is truly a craftsman and I love working with him!) We'll be eating lots of salads since the stove is gone and BBQ-ing a lot. Oh well, maybe now I'll drop off a few of those pounds I put on doing all of that recipe tasting!

We are leaving it set up pretty much the way it is. Just redoing the cabinets ( DH made them already and they are in the guest room icon_surprised.gif) and adding more, upper and lowers on the other side of the kitchen also. Going from 3 drawers to 9, yippie! Adding a dishwasher. The last of mine moved out a few years ago. New stove and fridge. New sink, windows, tile, stuff like that. It should look really pretty and be much more functional. Thanks for asking. I'll post more pics as the work progresses.

How exciting!! I can't wait to see your finished kitchen. Nine drawers sounds awesome!! I have 3 and they are not nearly enough. Keep us posted on the progress!

You guys are so sweet. This is really therapeutic, cuz' at least I feel like I'm doing something sort of "cakey" Anyway, here are some the cabinets, such as they are. They will be stained and the doors and drawers will be of the Mission/Arts and Crafts look. And this is my "kitchen, pantry, dining room" such as they are at the moment. Well, off to do some plumbing (I'll supervise!). No running water since yesterday but we have our emergency water and some very good friends! Life's an adventure!

HI I just had to say, that those pictures look like my entire house has looked at one time or another. We have remolded our house back to front over the years. We are diffently DIY'ers. Its always a long process but so worth it in the end, and saves a lot of money doing it yourself. Have fun and hang in there. You'll love it in the end.

Wow! Looks like you guys have your work cut out for you. When are you hoping to be done? I can't wait to see the finished pictures! My boyfriend and I have been wanting to get new cabinets, flooring, fridge, and stove in our kitchen (he's quite the handyman as well--lucky me!), but the money's never quite there. We got a new dishwasher last year, and with our refund this year we're getting a new stove, but that's it. Well, keep us posted and good luck keeping your sanity--these kinds of things can be pretty stressful!

We think it will take us about 2 months or so. Mostly because it will be done on the weekends only. Today it's the electrical work and some of the mechanical stuff. My DH is pretty patient with me (we've been married 32 years) so we get along really well and enjoy working together. I do think it will be a late night however!
