I really appreciate everyone's ideas and help. I'm afraid I'm starting to chicken out! If we would just have a snow day or something, maybe I would have the time to try to do this. I'm really disappointed in myself for not have the guts to really give this a go. I just fear that it would take a whole lot of time and I would ... not be able to do it.
I'm just not very artistic, which is why a frozen buttercream transfer has so much appeal to me. I'm just better at "crafty" things.
But, I'll keep all of this information and I'll be brave sometime!
