With the flashing being so sharp, how do you keep from getting cut when using the finished cookie cutters?

I dont want to tell you not to take super caution but actually the flashing isnt really sharp at all. I didn't wear gloves when making the cutters either. My hands are cut free! I imagine that you could sand the rough spots out if you get any.

I never wear gloves when I make my cutters.......I think the only cookies I've made without using a homemade cookie cutter are round ones lol...all the rest of my stuff is with homemade cutters.....mostly because I'm cheap and impatient.....can't stand to wait til I find the right cutter and have it shipped, I just grab my flashing and go to town.....I just made one of the mod mom cutters today for some cookies for a baby shower, sometimes if they are more intricately shaped they take longer to do but for the most part I rarely spend more than five minutes making a cookie cutter
