Hey ya'll !! I am being blessed with the chance to use the kitchen at our church when they are finished remodeling it. My question is what is needed to be legal when using a kitchen elsewhere ? I am in Virginia. I already have my business license

I would presume a food handler's certificate.

Suzie- you need to check with either your local health dept. or the state dept of agriculture. I'm not sure of the laws in Virginia, but there is a thread somewhere in this topic regarding how to get liscensed in each state. HTH!

You're right sweetamber; I used the wrong word in my previous post that may have caused confusion. I edited it.

The above is accurate unless you live in Hampton, according to the Virginia Health Department. The food handler's card costs $6 although the establishment food handler's certificate runs at $40. HTH.
