MS Works does not include the Excel program needed to open that document.

This is absolutely awesome! What a work of art.

Has anyone scanned it for viruses? I don't want to save it on my PC until I'm sure it's clean.

After it was originally uploaded we did a full gamut of virus scans, and assure any one that downloads directly from the above link that it will be virus free.

I am not computer savy. Please help. In the cake pricing matrix under the calculate price cost per slice has a function of#DIV/O. This is an error in the fomula. How can I correct this and when does the hourly wage get added in to the total cost?

I have been using this matrix for a year, but there is one problem. The serving per pan have changed, so you will need to update that. Don't be afraid to customize it either. I have updated and added things to mine. It's great for pricing weddings.

That cell should read "=C10/matrixB!72". This formula is reading from 2 places 1. C10 is the total for that page... You need to make sure all of the formulas in cells C2-C9 are correct. 2. Matris is the first sheet in the spreadsheet and B72 is the cell it's reading (which happens to be the number of servings).

The hourly wage is calculated in cell C8 (time) and is inclued in the total line.
Let me now if you need more help. I work with spreadsheets alot.

I successfully downloaded the Cake Matrix. But, I have a question. I usually make a 9x13x3 or 12x18x3 sheet cakes. Can I add those sizes to the Cake Matrix and it will calculate without any problems?

Thanks,
Grandma Sweetie Pie

To answer your question: There is nothing wrong with that formula. Leave it alone. This will happen with a spreadsheet that is empty of data with some formulas, because you can't divide by zero. Start entering some cake info on the first page and then go look at it.

Before I can help you with your question, let me ask you one. What do you mean by 9x13x3 or 12x18x3 sheet cakes, do you have 3" cake pans or do you make 3 layers?

I am an assistant professor at a private university and one of the classes I assist with is Excel. I can try to help anybody with their questions on this spreadsheet, add things to it etc.

This is an excellent spreadsheet. thumbs_up.gif She has taken alot of time putting this together. It was not just an evening or two. I have a spreadsheet that has 34 pages that has taken me 8 years to develop. (it is not anything to do with cakes however) I have not had time, since I started decorating cakes again to create a spreadsheet. I had started working on one though, but I will start using this one and developing it for my own needs as I go.

I would like to know who did this as well, I want to tell her job well done and thanks for sharing.

Thanks MarinersFan!!!!!
