I am making a batman cake for a child next weekend and I have the major decorations taken care of but I would like to make some small bats around the perimeter of the cake out of buttercream icing...anyone have any ideas on how I might be able to do it?

You could probably just tint some icing black and pipe them with a round tip onto the sides of your cake .. below is a link for some clip art that has some bats.
