There are some gorgeous trees on here! Ya'll are some wonderful decorators. I think that's a great idea to have the wrapping paper match the colors and theme of the tree! Sounds like something my MIL does!

Anyway here's my tree! I had to move the remaining intact red, gold, and green balls up a bit on my tree because between my two boys, they managed to shatter four of them! I was a bit irked but it's still pretty none the less! Picture doesn't do it justice though. I made all the boughs for the tree.

I should also add that the rat is a replacement rat for the one my two year old has had since summer. My niece was visiting and we went to Ikea and she bought this $5.00 rat and it has been his favorite toy since! This is the new one. The one this is replacing looks like it's from a 4th world country! This was the first thing he saw Christmas morning. It didn't take him long to pick it out!

here is mine. The one w/ the lights on is kinda blurry but oh well. I love looking at xmas trees. Tree is fake and prelit. So much easier to put up, plus living in colorado, it is so dry here it is hard to have a real tree and keep it alive until xmas. icon_smile.gif I decorate most of the tree except for the upper part by the santa topper, 1 because I am to short lol and 2 because hubby puts all his Philadelphia Eagles ornaments up there ( he gets a new ornament every year in his stocking)

Here is our tree - a frasir fir that we cut down (tradition) at a local tree farm. We alternate years with the "odds-n-ends" ornaments and the "coordinating" theme that I want to do. This year it was my turn! The tree looks a lot prettier in person!

Love this thread! I love to see everyone's trees!

Here is mine - finally gave in and went fake, pre-lighted. But with a 12' tree it would take me 1 full day for lights and 2 more for decorations, forget about the watering issue! So I miss my "real" tree, but the ease of the fake far makes up for it!

With the bow on top it comes out to around 13' now. I do mostly glass, so it is kind of a theme, I figure if my tree ever fell (again - fell 2 years ago - very lucky to only lose 2 ornaments) I'd loose over $1,200 in Radko Ornaments - I buy them off eBay or on sale, have been for over 10 years now. And of course the kids have ornaments they have made over the years - we buy a new one each year with the date and one for each kid as well. I guess I go overboard on the ornaments - that was another reason to go fake, very tough putting that many ornaments on real branches. icon_razz.gif

OMG all the trees are so fancy!! We actually debated about not putting up a tree this year because we were going to be at the inlaws for christmas - but decided we just had too! And I am glad we did. The top photo is the tree we put up at home and the bottome photo is christmas morning at the inlaws!

Thanks for this thread - I love looking at all the gorgeous trees!!

My family all think I'm bonkers cos I am over the top in LOVE with the build up to Christmas and they don't give a damn.  Think the kids got their father's genes there. I am also a mad embroiderer so a lot of the balls on my tree are hand embroidered Tamari Balls and I also have quite a few hand beaded ones as well.  The elves appeared when I was in a doll making phase.  A lot of work for one month of the year, but well worth it I believe.
