I would post, but I am embarrased of our tree, lol! My daughter is 16 months and LOVES the ornaments, so much so she kept ripping off my glass bulbs and dropping them over the stair railing. So we have a 8 foot tree with ornaments on half of it. Oh well, next year !

Post it, that story is what makes it a beautiful tree. My sister, my newphews, are 2years and 3 1/2 years and she has the same story. Plus she has a basset hound and a jack russell, her poor tree fell down soooo many times.

Trent - ours is worse, and I have no excuse! It's a hanging plant over a hopechest, with candy cane ornaments and a ribbon pinecone topper hanging from the hook. All the gifts went on top of the hope chest. Kept the cat and kids out pretty well, and they actually liked being different this year, thank goodness! It was either that or a 2ft tree.

Ok I want to post a pic of our tree. But I have an old fashion film camera. Not digital yet looking forward to after christmas specials. I will take some pics and post them later. Our tree is artificial for alot of reasons. But I love it and we have a with love tree. Which means almost every ornament was made with love or givin with love. And now that DD helps decorate the tree we redecorate it about 1000 times a day. We have to many ornaments for the tree but we put up as much as will fit on it and I usually put the rest of them around the house. But this year with alot of family members in the hospital. I din't put the tree up as early and didn't go all out as we usually do. So as soon as I get the pics developed I will post. All the tree look great. I have a friend that does theme trees every year. And they are very pretty. But we love our love tree. Last year for cristmas we made my DH a Dale Sr. racing tree. I will see if I can find the pics of his little tre and post them also.

Cakegirl,

I'm going to give you my secret. I bought paper to match my tree and wrapped empty boxes. Each year I put them under the tree. The "real" presents are set aside somewhere until we are ready to open them.

It's not just the matching the tree, but after everyone opens their presents I always thought the tree looked so sad with no wrapped presents under it. Now that doesn't happen. icon_cool.gif

I wanted to share my tree. I have a fake tree but it looks great. I don't like real trees. I put the scented pine cones inside the tree and its great. my ornaments are blue, purple & periwinkle. My wrapping paper matches. OK and I also wrap empty boxes. I thought I was the only one icon_razz.gif

I love this thread! icon_smile.gif Its so fun to look at everyone's trees.

I want to add mine but I don't know how to shrink my photos to post them in the forums.
I'm afraid to post it to my gallery because its not cake related.

Can someone give me a hint as to how I can shrink down my pic?

Your picture program should have a tool to resize. Look under that. You should be able to change it either by pixeks, or by inches. Pixels is what you want to select. That is how they are measured for use in posting as an attachment or to the web. If you have a Dell like we do, then you probably have Paintshop. If so, use the album and find the "Image" tool in the tool bar. There you should see Resize Image about 3/4 of the way down.

If you have Picture it, then you should have similar tools. Just look around in the program and you should be able to figure it out.

Pixel size of no more than 600 x whatever the default bottom number is, or no more than 70kb should work.

Hope that helps!! Good luck!!

Guess there are a lot of us who have to have their presents match the tree. I never thought about wrapping empty boxes just for that purpose but will have to do that next year. The following photos were taken after we unwrapped gifts and now my tree looks sad with just the few I still need to distribute. Here are some photos:

Here's my tree. I live in a tiny place with very little room. I had no room in my living room for my tree but I wanted to put up my 6 ft. tree. Soooo, I put it in the kitchen and had to put my kitchen table in storage. No table since Thanksgiving. My DH thinks I'm nuts but I have to have a tree!

I love seeing everyone's beautiful trees. We usually have 3 or 4 trees but this year only had one and it had to be a pre-lit artificial so my hubby can take it down since I am not allowed to do anything after my knee surgery. I never have a theme just lots of ornaments. Most of them have a sentimental story of a place we visited or person who they stand for or who had given them to us. Next year we will be back to normal.

It's so fun to see everyones trees and houses!!! I already took mine down. icon_sad.gif I didn't even take a picture of it, it wasn't the best this year anyways, it was on top of my end table because I was afraid my two almost 1 yr. olds would pull it down on top of themselves! I'll have to post mine next year! icon_wink.gif

I actually let my boys help this year, usually Ithey go play while I decorate. My hubby built a box for the stand to go on so it is actually aprox. 1 1/2 feet off the ground, it makes the tree look bigger! All of the trees posted are beautiful!
