hi, i have only had my business legal for 2 months, so everything is still kind of new to me, i am getting all my info ready for income tax time... i am just wondering, how do youe as all keep track of your Kilometers???
like all i did was write my starting milage as seen on my vechicle, then if i have to do any travelling, i write the date, the location and the distance traveled. is this correct?? or am i way off????
thanks for the help!

Thats a great way to do it. Remember to start over in the new year. If anyone tells you that you can claim a mileage rate - they would be wrong. The only time I've seen that allowed in after an audit when the person appeals and sometimes - not always, an arbitrary amount is allowed. I've seen many clients get their expenses disallowed by an auditor for not having anything to show how many km they've driven for business.
