How do you get phone numbers like that? Does anyone know how much it costs or who you have to pay?

Not sure how you get them, but I know I requested a certain phone number a few years ago in which the last 5 digits spelled out "BRIDE" and was told the number was already taken (I think a cab company had it for the last 4 digits to spell out "RIDE"), so it may be, among other things, a hit-or-miss on whether it's taken or not.

Oh. Sorry to hear that happened to you. icon_lol.gif But do you pay extra for that number and who do you call to get that number?

My phone representative just gave me mine. I know you can ask the phone company to see if the number is still available.

If the number is available, then it depends on if your representative is having a good day or not. My husband used to work for a phone company and he told me how many people would call and ask for specific numbers. He knew several people that just didn't want to look up the numbers because then their "Call time" would be off and they wouldn't get a bonus.

My thought is, it never hurts to ask...
