i wanted to share these adorable chocolate mice with everyone. they are too cute and so easy.
what you need:
chocolate melts or chocolate chips (melted)
maraschino cherries with stems
hershey's kisses
sliced almonds
what you do:
drain the cherries and pat dry
dip a cherry into the chocolate
place the cherry on parchment paper or wax paper
dip the very bottom of a hershey kiss into the melted chocolate and place it on the end of the cherry
arrange two almond slices between the cherry and the kiss as ears
allow everything to dry
if you want, you can use icing or gel to create eyes and a nose
i wish i had a photo. next time i make them i will be sure to take one and post it.

I would love to see yours, it sounds like you don't use an Oreo as the base. All I've seen use Oreos, it makes such a large nibble. Cute, but big.
i made the chocolate mice for nye/my uncle's surprise 60th birthday party. here are a few photos.
they were a hit! everyone thought they were so cute!
I like these without a cookie base MUCH better. Easier to eat.
They are too cute NOT to put in your photos. (Most people are putting them under Christmas with the search word mice.)

thanks! but i don't think you need a reason, lol. how about, 'because it's tuesday'? lol or 'because the mail came early today'?
