Hi to all!
Does anybody have an idea on how to make those edible icing sheets and inks (for photo cakes).
I know they are being sold online, but I want to try making them myself. I'm planning to open a small "photo cake project" in a Africa, where it's almost impossible to find such supplies, plus, it costs alot to import them from the US.

Any ideas would be highly appreciated

I do a lot of edible image cakes, but I have never heard of being able to make the frosting sheets. Maybe someone else on here can help. Boy that would sure save alot of $$. I don't think there is a recipe out there though. Good luck with opening your shop.

Hi,

Unfortunately you need a lot of expensive equipment to make your own.  We do ship to Africa.  I would recommend that to offset the cost, that you order fresh icing sheets 6 months at a time.  This will help to offset the cost over more sheets.  That is what I do when I have to ship something that is costly. Sorry for not giving you the answers you were looking for.
