I'm making a doll cake using the wonder mold pan. I've seen some recipes for dense mix for that pan. They suggest adding a box of pudding to the cake mix. Is that a box of pudding to a cake mix with the pudding already in it such as duncan hines?? I'm planning to make chocolate devils food.
Thanks, I need to bake it asap.

I know the CMD, when she says to add instant pudding to a cake mix, she wants you to use a plain cake mix without the pudding .. I think if you did use a cake mix with the pudding and used pudding in your cakes mix too, it would just make your cake more dense.. I've never done this before, so really it's just my opinion.. maybe someone else can give some advice on this too.
I add pudding to Dh mixes all the time, but they are plain ones. Go by the DH pound cake recipe.. You add pudding, an extra egg, and maybe extra oil. I can't remember, but you can go to the DH website look for the chocolate pound cake recipe. It says to bake in a bundt pan, but I use regular pans and it works great!
IF it's not too late...the ball pan said to use a reg cake mix (DH or whatever) but decrease the oil...check your instructions and it may say something similar. i think it also says to use a pound cake.
That cake sounds really good with the white chocolate pudding! I wonder how white chocolate pudding would work in a yellow cake mix??? I have used the recipe on the DH box and I thought it was great!
