I like looking at everyones Avatars, after I put mine up today it got me to thinking what does our Avatar mean to us.
Come back on and post what yours is about or why you don't have one.
My Avatar is Jibbies, my soon to be 5 year old Chihuahua. In my Avatar she is 6 weeks old and weighs 8 ozs. She was my Christmas present in 2002. She is spoiled rotten but I love her very much!

Jibbies is adorable!! I wouldn't mind having a chihuahua myself, but I have a boxer already. icon_smile.gif

My avatar is one of my favorite cakes, similar to the one I teach on my dvd. My old avatar was my favorite sculpted cake of a rabbit, but I like the birthday dog better right now. It matched a birthday invitation for a 6-year-old girl. I think it sort of "goes" with my style of cake decorating.

Great idea for a thread!

I was just thinking this morning about changing mine... so i did! icon_lol.gif

My new one is Baby-Cat. (yes, that is his name) He was terribly frightened at the stuffed grinch i brought home for him last winter, and when he is afraid of something, he attacks. He still is very afraid. Which is strange because his favorite things are green... (lettuce, peas, his blankie, his ottoman, his polo shirt, his bottle of catnip bubbles....) He is spoiled and we wouldnt have it any other way! He is 2 years old. I adopted him a few days after my bf & i moved into our first apartment. He was a surprise to the BF, but now they are best friends. He is an only child, because at 4 cans of fancy feast a day, i cannot afford another.... yet.... icon_wink.gif

I can help you with that
Pick your picture, mine was originally a 4x6 regular photo that I scanned to my HP photo program and then cropped it to what you see. Then I saved the cropped photo to a folder in my documents that are all CC related.
Open up www.shrinkpictures.com and choose Create Avatar, it will ask you to 1. Choose Photo 2. Set Avatar Size (type in 100) 3. Hit Resize button.
Three options will come up pick the one you like the best, right click on the address below that picture, go to the add Avatar in your CC profile and paste the address in the box and hit submit and Voila, there it is.
It really helps to have the shrinkpictures.com , the CC profile and the picture all open at the same time just minimized.
If you need any help just holler

I like to keep one of my cakes on, usually one to do with the season. For all you CC members who complain that your cakes don't get comments, you should try using it as an avatar.
Some day I may get bored of this and start posting personal things. Right now it is, "All about cakes", for me.

My avatar is a recent cupcake I did. I fell in love with it because I just love turquoise. It was one of those unplanned decorating surprises icon_smile.gif

Mine is my (almost to be on 9 December) two year old. She has a lot of spunk. My brother took this picture in black and white and although I prefer colour photos this one is just so beautiful. It used the one below which I took myself but the new one is more "professional" ... love my kid!

Mine is my business logo. My last name is Wolfley, so I had to have a Wolf and a Cake. My best friend of 25+ yrs helped me design it. I wanted something fun, since I like to do different cakes. And I really want to learn to sculpt more.

mine is my 14 year old poodle Cocoa. Gotta love your pets! I got her when she was 2 years old because her owners had to move. I always dress her up in goofy outfits for the holidays since I don't have any children.

Mine is a cake I made for my youngest daughter Amber. After I'd made it I thought it would be kinda cool to have it as my avatar seeing as I picked my CC username in her honour!

She is a unique kid. She is a huge fan of the White Stripes. She wanted an Iron Maiden cake for her second birthday. I insisted on Blues Clues icon_confused.gif
This year I decided that if you can't beat them you join them. So she finally got her Rock music cake!

This is me and my almost 3 month old grandson, Daniel. I had to wait for over 3 weeks to get my first cuddles from him as he was in special care when he was born. He has Down's Syndrome and is awaiting heart surgery any day now so I am soaking him up like a sponge and smothering him and his brother in kisses so that I top up before he has his stay in hospital again.

Lorraine, I can't believe Daniel is almost 3 months already - doesn't time fly!

Forgot to mention I'm standing on a chair. I'm 5' 2", Hubby is 6'4", needed some leverage!

susan123, I am dying to go to Italy. It is on my "things to do before I die" list. You are so fortunate to be soooo close to such amazing sights.

I'm so glad this thread was started. I love knowing about people's avatar choice. Mine is my little puppy-girl, Toby. I chose her because she is my inspiration - if it wasn't for her, I still be a broken down mess. She is the reason I started to bake again - I make her doggy treats. Since this site is all about inspiring and helping others I thought it was a perfect match.

Mine is a cake I made for my younger daughter's 4th birthday party. She had a water splish-splash party (pool, slip 'n slide, sprinklers) and wanted a fishy cake. This was a cake that was oohed and aahed by my friends/family and one of my favorites. Love to do the 3D cakes!

Thanks for the directions and the link jibbies! I just resized a cake picture. It's the Baron from The Cat Returns. It's not perfect, but it makes me laugh. See, it's supposed to look like a portrait in a fancy (sort of) frame. It was my first time doing diagonal lines around the sides, and I was way too excited about it. I still am! I keep thinking, what kind of cake can I do that needs a diamond pattern on the sides? Ha!

I've enjoyed reading about all of your avatars.
