Thanksgiving is on the way and for me it's going to be a very special one. My father, whom I haven't seen in 10 years is coming to our house for the holidayalong with the inlaws and such. I'm very excited and would like to make a cake to be remembered. As y'all know I'm a beginner and not the best at decorating so I don't want to get way out of my league but would like to try my hand at a nice two tiered, maybe spice flavored, cake. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Why dont you make a pumpkin? If you use bake two bundt cakes and line them up, its real easy to make it look like a pumpkin!

how bout some fall colored fondant leaves draped over it with a nice fondant bow or just a fall colored silk bow?

A pumpkin is a cute idea. Would I have to use dowel rods to keep it together?

Have you seen some of the cakes that look like a real baked turkey in here? They are awesome and really special!

Yeah I'm having the same problem viewing pics as well. I saw the Thanksgiving pics window but couldn't get in. Hmmm not sure if family would want to cut into a turkey shaped cake, although it's a cute idea.
