I was going to make a Red Velvet cake shaped like a pumpin to take to work for our Fall party but I was wondering if I could color Cream Cheese Icing Orange and if the Crusting Cream Cheese icing recipies will crust enough to put the indentions in it and if I can use the Viva paper towel method on Cream Cheese icing. Sorry for all the questions I am very new at all this.

I've colored the crusting Cream Cheese recipe here before, and it worked just fine. I can't see a problem. It crusts pretty well, so the indentions should work. I haven't used the Viva method on the CC with much success, but it's been very humid here up until recently, so you might see what others have to say. Good luck!
