Hi, we all know we have to stretch our money. Where are you getting the most bang for your advertising buck?? Do you advertise on internet sites like 'The Knot' or do you go for more local stuff? Do you do newspaper ads? Mailings?? You get the idea. Chime in with your results.

I have cards and I've done flyers at stores and business'. Believe it or not my local DrugMart has gotten me 5 wedding cakes this summer and a baby shower cake for 300. I'm having trouble getting Birthday and Shower cakes. Can't seem to get past the grocery store and Sams and Walmart , I live in sheet cake territory.........................

I am in 'sheet cake'territory too...ugh. But I will take what I can to start this going...it's picking up.
I will not go the newspaper ad advertising route again.......it's gotten me *1* order for a wedding cake, and then the bride called me to back out ( 'writing on the cake bride!* ).

My best thing has been donations and word of mouth. The word of mouth is the best way...no matter what. I will do more heavy advertising next year, when $ is more coming in, I just started this in May of this year. It's been slow, but is picking up......just have to keep talking to everyone about goodies!

Website is also a great help too.....a lot of people are hitting it too. That is another good one.....
