Here is a series of videos on how to make a topsy turvy cake. No, I don't speak spanish but it is a great demo and you don't need to understand the language to grasp the concept. Hope you enjoy! (They are the 14 or 15 videos under the line.

Bonjovibabe--

I just assumed they were dowel rods since I could not understand a word she said. Still a good video to get a clear picture in my head.

Looked way too thin to be dowel rods (at least the kind I use!), and that huge gap at the join of the bottom and middle tier would be a real concern to me! I think I'll stick with the slot method for Topsy-Turvies, looks far more secure than just bunging the cakes on top of one another icon_confused.gificon_eek.gif !

Watched more videos tonight. Check this one out soooo funny! My new theme song. Go to You Tube & search for Cake decorating Gospel. icon_biggrin.gif
There is a really good one (4 part) search How to make a gumpaste rose. It is the one by Donnalane626. One more new one for basic decorating which will be continued is Take my advice 101 by Cherie.
Hope you find these & enjoy!
