Hi Everyone,
This weekend I want to use real roses on cake, but I'm sure how to add them? with buttercream? must I get the roses sprayed with something?

Thank you..

Melly

actually I think you have to make sure that they AREN'T sprayed with anything (no pesticides, etc.) Wrap florist tape around the stems really well and think you should be able to use them justfine. But you might want to get more opinions on this, someone else may know more about the subject.

I wrapped mine with green floral tape and arranged by just sticking them straight into the cake. You'll have to cut off the long stems on the roses leaving about 2-3 inches of the stem left to work with.. My sister and I both arranged the ones in my photos .. it's not hard to do.. we used filler flower/greenery also which was wrapped with floral tape on the ends.
