I have been working on a local fundraiser for CHERUBS to raise money in memory of my son for his first heavenly birthday. I have been selling homemade truffles and done extremely well raising over $500 so far. I have had some requests for orders to be shipped. How would I go about doing this, or is it even possible? Any information is appreciated!

Speaking as someone who has bought truffles through the mail, they are always sent to me in a box specially made, with individual compartments for each truffle. I've seen this type of box at Cincinnati Cake and Candy. So I'm sure someone else sells them. Cinci cake has a website, and I'm sure into the oven or country kitchen has some, although I haven't checked.

THe boxes are then padded with a strip of foam or bubble wrap and then wrapped and shipped. It generally costs more to ship them during hot months, and I've been forced to pay for expedited shipping during summer before. But if it's cooler, just pop them in the mail. You can have them marked "fragile" if you'd like. But that is how my truffles usually arrive, just in a padded truffle box.
