This may sound crazy but I need to know if sunflowers are a fall flower. I am supposed to do fall cupcakes for my son's school for tomorrow (4 dozen)

I was going to do pumpkins but they just don't look right to me.

They don't want a halloween theme, only a fall theme party.

HELP!!! I am tired and about to pull out my hair.

Sunflowers bloom in late summer or early fall

I think you could consider a sunflower as a fall flower. I think it's because they are so bright and cheery as well they look great with all of the other fall colours in the leaves. I think it's a great idea.

I know this is late, but my sunflowers are at their best in September. By late October they're either being dried for eating, or left in the garden feeding the little chickadees.
