I want to make cookies with a MMF base and R.I. accents. Would this work? If anyone has pictures of MMF/buttercream cookies they,ve done please post a picture.

I love doing this when the background is to be white with just a few color accents. In my photos there is the tray with the teacup/teapot cookies on it, and if you go further into my pictures, you will see a squar cookie with a 75 on it, and more teapots. I attached the MMF with a light brushing of piping gel. You can also put the MMF on the cookies after they have cooled a minute or so out of the oven, but I am never that prepared to do that. Good luck and post pics!

Cut out all your fondant first, then cut out your cookies. THE minute they come out of the oven, plop the fondant cutout on the cookie. It adheres it onto the cookie. I have gotten soo many compliments and questions as to how I got the icing so smooth. I tell them it is fondant and they are all like, "ahhhh".
I also use anotonia74's royal icing for the accents.
Also, if your cutout is not exact, when you plop it on the hot cookie, you can kinda shape it a bit with your fingers or an offset spatula.
btw, prettycake(s) sold me on the whole fondant on the cookie method! Take a look at her(and others) cookies..
You can also adhere the fondant on a cooled cookie with a bit of corn syrup, but personally, I like the hot cookie method best.
I had planned on using this method this weekend on some cookies for an upcoming event. This evening when I picked my son up from school I found out that they are having a cookie party TOMORROW !! So I had to try it sooner than I thought.
I had a really long day this is the best I could do on such short notice:
