Every Sunday we go to an Ethical Society meeting. A few times now I have brought a really yummy cake. Well, this past weekend was our Winter Festival. I was "relegated" by alphabet to bring a side dish. Also, for DS's Sunday School class, I needed to bring iced cookies. So, I didnt' have time to make a cake/pie/dessert on top of that.

I had several people asking me what I brought for a dessert because they know it'll be delicious. Two were disappointed that I didn't bring, but two were happy as they said now they wouldn't be tempted to eat something! LOL

Also, DSs cookies were pretty and had a smooth writing surface (they were decorating them with symbols of Earth renewable resources). I made extra to share and all of his were used while other "extras" were left to the side. They were just sloppy. Mine weren't fancy, but they were rolled, not sliced, they were iced (just simple spooned on icing that evens out across the surface), not spread with a super thin layer of Duncan hines frosting... It made me happy that I took that little extra time the night before. Plus, they were super yummy (I hate yucky cookies!)

So, I think I'm building a faithful base of "lovers". Will they ever buy? Who knows, but at least I am building a goo reputation!

Melissa
