I made the milk-free, egg-free cake from the recipe from this site. First time using this recipe. I used cake release. Cake stuck realllly bad. Remade the recipe twice. Same thing happened both times. I followed the recipe to the tee. Any suggestions on why this happened.. Anyone have another recipe for non dairy cake. I need this in the morning. HELPPPPP...

Sorry no one was able to help you. I am not familiar with this particular recipe, but I always line my cake pans (bottom only) with parchment to ensure nothing sticks. Maybe next time?

Have you ever lined a bundt pan with parchment? I'm on a mission to make the perfect bundt cake but it sticks every time!

Parchment paper is the answer when doing a special cake. It will save your stress level. Hopefully you will be able to get it out next time. icon_smile.gif

I have a non-stick bundt cake and it never sticks anywhere! I do lightly spray it with cooking spray as well. I love it!

I don't think the parchment will work on a bundt pan. If you don't have non-stick pans, just make sure to grease and flour REALLY well.

Yes I have lined a bundt pan with parchment. Sorry, you did not say what kind of pan so first thought was sheet cake type. But when I do fruit cakes I do line the bundt pans with parchment. I saw someone on Food Network once do it so I have started doing it now. Just need to do a lot of cutting so that the bottom is flat. Do over lap each cut. Basicly like when you put papter over the cake circles in the back. It will work. Have fun.

Do you need to grease the paper? Sorry if that sounds silly, as I said, I'm on a mission for the perfect bundt cake. I'm using my mother's old cast aluminum bundt pan circa 1964. I love this site! Thanks for all the tips!

No you don't need to grease the paper. But you can if you want too. I have sprayed it with PAM once and it came out.

I found that the best way to keep a cake fron sticking is to grase the pan and flour it with corn meal! It is amazing how my cakes turn out using this method
