I am baking a few different sizes in different pans. I have my cake batter all ready to bake. Is it ok to store the cake batter in the fridge for about an hour while it is waiting to go into the oven? I know the directions say bake right away. TIA

I've never had a problem with it Morgan, just make sure you mix it a little.

I have always left my cake batter on the counter while waiting for another to bake and never had a problem. If you are putting in the fridge, I would make sure it is back to room temp before baking it to ensure even baking.

I've put it in the frig to without any problem, then straight to the oven. Good luck!

I've had it in the mixing bowls in the fridge for about an hour tops and it came out like a hard pudding mix... I had to remix it and when I did it was like a mousse... I'd let it come back to room temp AND remix it before baking it the cake turned out alright but was very airy I'm guessing because I mixed while it was still really cold...

The lady that taught my class said that if you want your chocolate cake to rise more it was best to put in the fridge for about 30 minutes. So you should be okay
