I just forgot a tasting. A bride was supposed to come today at 1pm and I totally forgot. I stood there with a blank look on my face, not having the faintest idea why she was there....

Luckily, she said she could come back. I am supposed to be drawing up some pictures for her.

All sometimes things slip by us. I know for me I forgot a cake for a paying customer for Thanksgiving. So I've been putting all the orders on the calendar. I know when I was cake tasting I would always phone the day before just to make sure things had not change. I hope she comes back and you get the order! Good Luck

poop happens! Are you charging her for the tasting or are you doing it for free? If charging you might want to take some $$ off for the inconvience. Just throwing out ideas, don't know if they are good or not. Sorry this happened. Now go and draw some awesome sketches to make her jaw hit the floor and immediatly book with you thumbs_up.gif

I usually charge $15 for a tasting, then refund it if they book with me. I'm thinking that this will be no charge. I drew some sketches.....drawing is not my forte, let me tell ya....

I've got a challenge, she said every chocolate cake she's ever tasted is dry....no pressure!

Arg, I guess you're right, it could happen to anyone. But it's awful embarrassing at the moment!!! I knew you'd understand.

Iv done that twice but didn't have a tasting with my appts. The first time I was just 5 mins away and she called me on my cell so we still meet and the second time I totally forgot and went out once I got home there was a message where was I. So I drove 30 mins away to meet her at here house. Couldn't say how sorry I was enough times boy did I feel bad her mom wasn't pleased so I gave her money for her gas. She signed the contract and I did the cake.
