Wording: Baby Not Here But Want Baby Name On Cake
Decorating By momofjil Updated 11 Oct 2007 , 12:31am by SueB
They want the baby's name on the cake but he isn't here yet. I cant really say Welcome, because he isn't here. Any ideas on how to say it?
So, when do they want the cake? Is it for a shower that is for the baby, before the birth?
Can you just make a baby shower type cake and put his name on it? Maybe a stork cake with the name on the blanket the stork is "carrying" the baby in?
Hey maybe something like. "Special delivery coming soon" and then his name. With the stork.
Awaiting the arrival of xxxx
Baby under a blanket..."peek a boo, baby xxxx"
Like a train announcement..."arriving soon...Baby xxx"
a movie announcement..."in the arms of his mother soon, baby xxxx"
In honor of baby xxxx

What about "Here comes Baby Doe" or find/make up a short poem about waiting to meet Baby Doe or whatever....
I"m working on a babyshower cake for next week. It will simply say....BABY LAUREN....that was at moms request.
I recently did a cake for my great niece (who will be here in a couple of weeks!). I just put 'Baby Kenna' on the cake.......you can check it out in my pics.
Thanks, everyone. Great ideas! They were very specific about how they want the cake decorated to match the decor, but I love the stork idea and the baby blanket Thanks for all the great ideas!
Those are all great ideas! I have none to add! (but I'll keep them in mind if I ever have to do one.)
In my gallery is a shower cake for my SIL that says "Baby Allyson". The shower was a month ago but baby Allyson just arrived yesterday!
