Customer Follow Up?

Do you follow up with your customers? If so, when do you call? I did a Sweet Sixteen a week ago today and thought I should follow up but haven't yet.

I'm starting to mail out thank you cards.

My follow up is a thank you card sent a couple of days after the cake was picked up/delivered.
