How can I package a Cookie?

I hope you all can give me a few suggestions. I am making cookies as favors for my fathers 70th birthday party. Usually when I make cookies I always package them individually in a cellophane bag with a bow. I wanted to do something a little nicer for the party and put them in a box with a clear cover. I have found the boxes that I need however not quite sure what I can use to "cushion" the cookie. Should I just use parchment? What would be a good material to make it look a little nicer rather than just a cookie in a box?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!!

I use folded tissue paper, and stand the cookies up. I do as many rows as I need to, with tissue paper in between each. They lean slightly back so that you can see them through the top. If you are worried about food safety, you could use the colored saran wrap crinkled up. hope that helped.

I use paper shred in a co-ordinating colour.
