I'm making a cake for my friend's daughter. I'm making a purse cake. The girl wants chocolate. I decide to make the chocolate pound cake II recipe from this site. I put the batter into three loaf pans thinking all is fine. WRONG!!!! The cake baked out over the tops of the pans; all int he bottom. During this time; I'm teaching my 14 yr old how to make icing. I open the oven door because I smelled something horrible. There is a small fire in my oven. I grab salt to put it out. So, I'm going back to the store for more stuff.
Now, my family & I are laughing. The cake is wonderful.

Update.
I came home today & baked another cake after taking my anatomy final. The cakes turned out great. This time I filled the pans a little less than halfway. Everything was done & delivered around *:30 tonight. The party is around noon tomorrow. I am having trouble loading a picture. Hopefully I will get it done tomorrow. I hope someone got a good laugh like I did.
