I just stumbled across this site while looking for something else, but how cool does this look??

http://www.cupcakecourier.com/pages/products.asp

It is a cupcake courier!! Now I won't have to have my entire car filled with trays of cupcakes!

P.S. Does anyone know where I can buy individial plastic cupcake containers, a container to give someone just one cupcake? That is what I was actually looking for.... Thanks! thumbs_up.gif

Thanks chele icon_smile.gif That is actually all I have been able to find, I am looking for like a plastic disposable type. I want to make christmas cupcakes for everyone in my office, but I thought it'd be better if I could put them in something, rather than just setting them on their desk....

I saw somewhere (can't remember if it was a post or in the gallery) yesterday where someone used a clear disposable box that I think they called a caramel apple box to put one of those ornament cupcakes in.... maybe that would work? HTH

**Edited so I don't look so dumb. Sorry, I just woke up. haha!

I just purchased and received very quickly I might add, the Cup A Cake containers. I bought the 4 pack in Blue, Green, White and Pink/Red. They are adorable!!!! I have a husband that loves taking my stuff to work with him and sharing with co-workers or hoarding it in the car and at lunch time teasing them all lol, also my munchkin likes to take treats to school that mommy has made and although she doesn't pack her lunch I figured maybe once we move and I make cupcakes once a week for a treat they could take them with them lol. It was a very nice investment and would make a great gift. If it's someone you know you could request the container back lol... although I dunno how that would work out lol.

The original posting about the cupcake courier, I was looking through the "Decorated by Kids" photo gallery last night and noticed someone here on CC has that exact same cupcake tote. icon_biggrin.gif

I would suggest maybe a candy apple box or maybe even one of those plastic containers you get at the grocery store bakeries for gift giving icon_smile.gif

Oh and since I just REread your post about giving the cupcakes.... You could go to the dollar store or even a party store, get the clephane (sp) baggies you would use for treat bags and put them in that. It'd be a big baggy around the cupcake it's self so it wouldn't mess up the icing and decorations as well as be festive and a cute way to give a gift that is free from dust, flys, and sticky fingers of passer byers lol You could tie them off with a piece of red or green or both red and green ribbon icon_biggrin.gif You could take a cake box, cut it up into pieces that'll fit, or even a cake board, and use that as a base in the baggie so it'll sit upright no matter what. icon_smile.gif

my two cents!

Just a bit on the solo cupcake holders... GREAT idea for the ornaments cupcakes!! Great gift idea..... I have seen these at Walmart, actually and always thought they were silly little containers but NOW that I can put an ornament cupcake in one, IT'S A GREAT IDEA!! they were less than $1 each, as i rememeber.

I believe the King Arthur Flour catalog/website has the individual cupcake cases ... they look like a Tupperware container to me, so very versatile and probably not what you might call "disposable". How about a chinese takeout box for individual cupcakes? I think that would be great, unique, and plenty large enough that you wouldn't have to worry too much about getting it in or out of the box without messing up the icing. And your recipients would be puzzled to first see the box on their desk, then open it and find a cupcake!

So much to consider ....

Happy Baking,

AmyKay...I know what you're talking about, I've been looking for the same thing; an individual cupcake container that is clear so you can see thru it, is disposable and inexpensive -- I finally found it at www.plasticcontainercity.com. If you look under the cupcake/muffin link there is one that's large enough for just one cupcake -- and, the lid is domed so you can use it for cupcakes piled high w/icing. I've never ordered from them but they let you order individual pieces, don't have to order by the case!
