Hi everyone! I'm basically a newbie, but I am getting more experience, but I have a question! I am putting together an emergency kit for when I deliver cakes . . . . what does everyone put in their emergency kits? I'm anxious to hear from everyone!! Thanks in advance!

I take along basically anything I would need to re-do the cakes decorations. So for a fondant covered cake I would take buttercream and royal icing (if I used royal in the design) extra fondant and all the tools needed to re-cover the cake in fondant (fondant roller, smoother, rolling mat, shortening, pwd. sugar, something to trim the fondant etc) and then any decorations that I may need (extra flowers, cut-outs, pearls, dragees, etc). Anything I would need to re-decorate the cake I bring along! HTH! Oh extra dowels or supports would be good too!

all of the above...
plus, fondant and/or gumpaste if you need it
paint brushes & luster dust
VODKA
assorted wooden modelling tools
a couple of dowels or skewers and a set of hedge clippers
spatulas- for last minute smoothing or cake stacking
kleenex
my husband
the phone # of my therapist on speed dial icon_wink.gif
p.s. wear comfortable shoes. I delivered a cake this weekend to an event I was attending and had to go barefoot after lugging the cake through the maze of the resort in my low heeled sandals. Reeboks it is from here on out!!

PAPER TOWELS!! (to clean up, or around the cake when the cake table is aleady set -- just to be careful when putting on final touches)

One of these days I am going to bring a little table, so that I can set cakes on it (espcially when the cake table is aleady set -- it a pain to have to set cakes on anything you can find because you cant put the boxes on the cake table!! icon_confused.gif )

a spatula
all tips and colors
plastic or paper bags for cramming all those paper towels in when you're done icon_wink.gif

oh, and fabric ... (if the table isn't already set! icon_lol.gif )
