Hello Everyone!
I want to make a cake for thanksgiving that has a cornucopia on it. I have figured out how to make the cornucopia basket, and want to put fruit in it. I tried looking online for instructions to make either marzipan or fondant fruits (pumpkin, apples, oranges, pears, etc...) and can't seem to find any. I was wondering is anyone here could suggest some websites to look at.
Thanks a bunch!
~Chelle
Here's a marzipan thread that has that info:

Hopefully I will get to try making some this week.....will definitely post pics when they're done! I also was looking at my recent issue of ACD (Aug/Sept) and theres an article by Toba Garrett (sp?) on marzipan fruits!

Can't find anything since the new changes! Tried your source & was told "Sorry, We could not find forum.cakecentral.com". Do you know of any other place for marzipan vegies & fruits, photos & how to do's? Thanks.
Good morning!!!
If you see to your side you will see more links.
If that is not what you need, google " how can I make marzipan fruit" lots of selection there!
Good luck!
Ciao!
These instructions are included in Many BOOKS. I don't know why somebody would make a youtube tutorial when the book instructions are so good.
Can you follow a printed recipe and get something edible? Then you can for sure follow printed directions for modelling fruits and vegetables.
Using modeling chocolate works great for this. The warmth of your hands lets you work with it for a long time without it cracking. Just color it with the candy coloring gels.
