Children will be sad to see Greg go, but hopefully once he feel better, maybe he'll be back.

I wonder why....??? icon_surprised.gif you know if they can't give us enough information, then they should not probably tell us. Not fair if they don't say why... icon_sad.gif

That is so sad, especially because he is only 34. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers to him and his family.

Well just like Blue Clues, they never said why they were replacingSteve with Joe, but at least there was a transition when they did it. It's not like Steve just disappeared.

Now I heard that the reason why he wa replaced was it's because he
was gay. Not sure how true that is. But Joe seems to be doing really well. I like him too. We'll wait and see..

I know! I heard that yesterday. They are having a news conference today in Perth to announce it. I really hope they can find out what is wrong with him and why he is having these fainting spells! We've been Wiggles fans since 2000!!! So sad. icon_sad.gif

There was no secret why Steve left - he just didn't want to do children's television forever (in his words, he didn't want to become a human "Krusty the Klown"). If you watched the recent Nickelodeon special Behind the Scenes of Blue's Clues, he also says it was because he was going bald. icon_lol.gif

Greg doesn't owe the public any kind of an explanation besides what has already been released, IMHO.

Steve also want to pursue his music career. You can read about it on his website.

I agree Greg doesn't owe the public any explanation. He's sick, that's all we need to know.

I agree it's sooo sad about Greg. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Apparently he started fainting after he had a hernia operation. We've all been praying for his health to get better and hope that his leaving the Wiggles isn't permanent.

My kids are alittle old for Wiggles. I have an 8 yr old who was blues clues kid But the transition was easy. And my son is almsot 16 so he was the Barney stage. He will never admit it NEVER icon_lol.gif But it is sad when someone steps down. But we all have our reasons Medical or personal it happpens ( Career change) If you don't love what you do don't do it if possible. So if you can do it don't make others feel your pain especially children. And I hope there is nothing medically wrong with him.

I heard in the radio this morning, Greg spoke about his heart condition..
He said "My heart is not pumping blood all over my body"..

And he said it's best that he stop and rest for now, or something like that.

I think it would be best that one of the remaining guys will take over as the new lead and then hire a new to be the new guy #4 .

Speaking of Australia, have you guys heard or seen those male strippers from Australia ? they were on a realityTV show last night, and those guys are gorgeous and hunky !!! wow !! icon_eek.gif

I would think Anthony should take over as the lead, but don't know.

It is sad. We just saw him perform in Philadelphia in August, and the November before in NYC. It was actually his last show before they flew him home to Australia for the hernia operation, so he was just standing there and singing, and not moving much. They did explain the situation when the concert started.

So sad ...

According to the news, he said he got a disorder called Orthostatic intolerance and it had left him debilitated. He keep getting dizziness, fatigue, and nausea right after his hernia operation. He also said it's not a life-threatening condition by any means, but it is one that's going to be with him for the rest of his life. Greg Page is only 34 - pretty young though.

To find out what's the disease mean, I looked up to Wikipedia.com:

Quote:
Quote:

Orthostatic intolerance is the failure of the body to properly adjust to an upright position, especially with respect to blood flow, heart rate, and blood pressure.

How scary. At least Greg knew it's not life-threatening. He can go on to his normal life.
