I was just wondering if anyone other than me used a recipe software program to organize all of their recipes? I use Mastercook (V 8.0). It is very easy to categorize your recipes (ie buttercream icing, royal icing, fondant, chocolate cakes, white cakes, rolled cookies etc) and to search them with a press of a button. You can also print them out in a cookbook format or print just the ones you want to make to take into the kitchen, which you can then just throw out and not have to worry about splatters and grease spots lol because the recipe is still in the software for you to use next time. You can add your own notes and tips and ratings etc. and also source and copyright information. I have copied many recipes off this site already, because the software also has a feature that allows a highlight-and-click snag off the internet-including pictures (if there is one associated with the recipe) and imports it directly into the software. The import includes the link info right back to the site the recipe was obtained from in the event I say may want to post a comment to whichever site I obtained the recipe from. The software files can also be exchanged with others who have the software through email or if you have a site where you can host it for download.
