I am trying to make one of those christmas ornaments that were posted in the other forum. I have the wilton's chocolate and I keep microwaving it but it doesn't seen to get runny so that I can pour the chocolate it's just kinda think. It says on the bag to heat for 30 seconds at a time, which I did, I've been standing in front of this microwave for a while and it doesn't seem to get any better. Am I using the wrong kind of chocolate for this?

Thanks for the help.

Did you stir it? Sometimes it holds its shape until you stir.

i've been stiring every 30 seconds. I think at this point i've cooked it too much. it's white chocolate melts and it's starting to turn colors.

sounds like you're using the right kind of chocolate... like suz3 said, make sure you stir it. microwave for 30 seconds, stir, if it still has solid bits in it, microwave again for 30 seconds and stir again. be really careful that you don't just keep nuking it, as it burns and makes a really awful smell!
Good luck icon_smile.gif

Oh, white chocolate is real hard. I've burned lots of it in the microwave. I finally used the stove and was able to control the temp better and had no problems since. Good luck!!
