I'm getting ready to take a trip to Raleigh, NC in the beginning of October. icon_lol.gif My husband will be on business and I get to go explore a city I've never been in! icon_lol.gif Soooo, those of you from the Raleigh area, can you suggest any really good cake decorating supply stores in the triad area? I've got Michael's, AC Moore and Hobby Lobby here in Montgomery but I want to see independent stores that carry items that you can't find in the craft chains. I just need the name and an address and whether you think it's worth going to. Many thanks in advance!!

It depends on what you are looking for. Papertown in Raleigh has Satin Ice and lots of boxes. You really need to go to NC Paper in Clayton, which is not far from Raleigh. I think it takes me 20 minutes to get there. They have everything, even premade gumpaste flowers. I am ready to go back there myself. PM me and I can give you addresses of both places.

I need to know this too! I live in Greensboro but can't find cake supplies anywhere but the chains. I'd love to find somewhere that carries luster dust. Any ideas? Clayton is kinda far for me... somewhere on the west side of Raleigh would be so helpful, or even Winston.

Thanks!
