I saw these candles, and I was wondering if they could be baked in a regular can, and how do you go about doing them.

Temp, amount of batter, preping can.

Anyone out there have any ideas ?

I did mini cakes in cans. Just get veggie cans at your grocery store. Clean them very well and use them like a normal cake.

I spray the inside of the cans with pam baking spray (has the flour in it) pour my batter about 3/4 the way in the can and set my cans on a cookie sheet and pop them in the oven. I just tested them until they were done all the way. They were great. I cut off the tops of the ones that overflowed a little and they came out of the cans easily when i just turned the can upside down.

It is really easy and I love this picture. I may have to do this one too!

Don't the ridges in the cans make it hard to get the cakes out?

You would think so but it didn't for me.

I'd never heard of this. How very clever and fun! I gotta give it a try.

I would try baking in a coffe cup. You can get taller coffee cups and the regular sized.
