Does anyone know if you can use an edible image on a cake frosted in whipped cream? I did a little research on the internet and all I found was one thing that said if you used them on whipped cream it would cause the image to fade. I'm okay with that, as long as the image doesn't disolve and run all over the place.

Yes you can. I would recommend putting the image on the cake as late as possible though. This will help it from fading. I have never seen one run before, but the lines will just not be as defined. I would test it to see if you like it or not if you have time.

Wait as long as possible to put it on, we do them at work with whipped icing, if you do them a day ahead the colors fade, run, and generally look nasty. They just seem to totally disentigrate because of the high moisture content. Hope that helps! icon_lol.gif
