Hello all I have several questions about chocolate.1) I'm using the praying hands mold, and I want to make it a gold color so my questions is which chocolate should I use. The chocolate or the white chocolate? Should I use gold luster dust? 2) I want to do a plaque also, and i want to put an edible scripture on the plaque, so my question is can you make a plaque out of molded chocolate? If so how i go about making it. Hope I make sense here. Thanks for your help.

I don't know if you still need this info. But you can use either dark or white chocolate and then paint with the gold lusterdust. It just depends on how dark you want the gold. I prefer to use chocolate to get a deeper gold, white tends to give a light gold.

As for the plaque, yes, you can make one out of chocolate. If you have a cake pan the size and shape you want your plaque, you can pour chocolate into it just a 1/4" thick, chill and it will pop out when set. I did this with my 8" round and a 6" hex.
