I have a client who wants a Fighting Irish birthday cake for his friend's 50th birthday. Anyone have clever ideas for a saying besides "happy 50th"??

He suggested "It's Nifty to be Fifty", but we'd like to incorporate "luck" somehow...in word or jist.

Thank-you in advance!

Maybe, "if you're lucky, you'll make it another 50"?

One of the best I've seen was here on CC,

"You can but you can't hide." The cake had a man being chased by the candles.

I did a 40th toliet paper cake (see my photos), but you could use it for a 50th! "Wipe away your youth!" Or how about "Good luck wiping away your youth!"

I used someone else's idea and put a golfer on the cake and it said, "it doesn't matter how old you are as long as your putter still works"

See it in my pics...

Just a thought, but here's an actual Irish Blessing: "May you live to be a hundred years, with one extra year to repent!" icon_rolleyes.gif

What cute ideas! Thanks to all of you!

The golf cake idea made me laugh... "as long as your putter still works"...SO funny! icon_smile.gif

I talked to the client and he chose "Still fightin' at 50"...I could hear his wife in the background saying, "OH, I like THAT!" icon_smile.gif

Thanks again! Lindsay
