Well I did try to re-bake and the mushy part in the middle seemed to firm up. The only problem was I had already cut the top mound of the cake
off so that part started to crack. When I inserted a toothpick it looked fine and when I torted the cake the middle looked OK. The only problem is it was for Thanksgiving and I wanted to freeze it and de-frost the night before to decorate. That meaning I couldn't cut it last night to be sure it was OK. It is only my immediate family on Turkey day so I am going to serve it and see what happens
They know I am just beginning and there will be plenty of other desserts so if it is bad
I guess they will just eat something else. I just have a very judgemental mother so that I am not looking forward to
Since I started the whole decorating idea she suddenly has a lot of opinions on it all! I'll let you know how it tastes, thanks for all your help.
