hello everyone i was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a simple wedding cake. i have an order for saturday Nov 25 for a friend of a freind for a wedding cake, the wedding is a simple outdoors wedding and the bride who i have never met only thorough e-mail said all she wanted was a simple white frosted cake with light blue roses, but my question is does anyone have any ideas on how it should look. i have a few ideas and if anyone could tell me which one sound the beat i would greatly appreciate it. icon_smile.gif i hope i explain these right

idea1- planinly forsted in white with simple white ruffles around the cake (like dropstrings) with light blue roses between the teirs

idea 2- light blue roses as the string work around the cakes

idea 3- light blue string work around the cake and each string where they meet is coverd by a white chocolate blue and white cocolate wedding bell with clusters of light blues roses in the middle of the teirs.

Hi Cakekrayzie,

I think it's depends on how you feel like doing icon_twisted.gif

Between these 3 choices, I like #1 the best. #2 will be the easiest to do and looks perfect for out side wedding!

Good luck and I'm looking forward to see your finised cake icon_biggrin.gif

Either #1 or #2 would look very nice. You could add some cornelli lace if you want to take the time. I like using it on wedding cakes because it adds texture and interest, but keeps it understated when using white-on-white.

I like #1, too. But, like Gemini, I also think a little texture is in order. Maybe an impression mat on the sides. I've enjoyed using the corrugated one, and the diamonds are VERY popular.

But, totally simple is always in style and in good taste.

Just wanted to offer too-once you decide on a design I would draw it up,email it to the bride to be and get her approval!

Number 1 sounds the closest to her request.
