Homemaker association just called me and want a cake for the 30th of this month. 1/2 sheet with a quilt block on it (not like the baby cakes) But of a actual looking quilt block.....I looked in the photos and didn't see anything but the baby quilts...they do want it to be a full block with pastels.....do you have a pic or know where I can find a picture of a different looking pretty quilt block that I can copy off of?

If you go to hgtv.com, and click under crafts, you'll find a quilting section where you can click on different kinds of quilts to get ideas. HTH

I just did one for a ladies birthday, in my pics. She was so happy, said she had done a quilt from each one of the represented blocks I did. I saved the pics of the blocks I copies to my PC I will be happy to e-mail them to you if you want any of the ones on my cake.

Thanks for liking my cake. I don't know if you could tell or not but.. I used Bounty paper towels to do the Viva trick with. You have to just use it as an impression mat, But the diamond pattern it leaves behind looks like quilting! Totally rocks! Just wanted to throw that suggestion out there.

Sure I don't mind, the cake isn't due till the 30th of this month plenty of time...and good suggestion on the bounty paper towels (I actually have some) and I do have the diamond impression mat....so I guess you would do the diamond impression on top of the bc and then pipe the design???? Or how would you do it on a FBCT? inquiring minds wanna know

I did not do the diamond impression mat. Just smoothed out my FBCT with a Viva until I got it as smooth as I wanted and then placed a bounty paper towel on and smoothed once. The impression is made by the diamonds in the bounty towel.

And now I am off to bed. I really wish all you CCers would quit posting to threads. I was supposed to be in bed hours ago, but I am to darn nosey. I am afraid I will miss something!
